The 2024 Port Cygnet Regatta will be held from 8th-10th March 2024 in Cygnet.
A traditional sailing event for over 160 years, the first ‘Huon Regatta’, now known as the ‘Port Cygnet Regatta’ was held on 2 January 1863 at Beaupre Point, Port Cygnet under the patronage of his Excellency Colonel Gore Browne, C.B. Commodore Burnett and the officers of the H. M. S. Orpheus, along with the band playing ‘Rile Britannia’ and a gun salute.
The Port Cygnet Sailing Club has continued the tradition of the Regatta with a little less of the ovation, but no less the dedication.
