Children’s Services – The Cottage, Huonville

Children’s Services is owned and operated by Huon Valley Council and offers a range of childcare options for children aged from 6 weeks to 12 years, this includes centre-based care, outside school hours care and vacation care.

The Cottage, Huonville aims to provide a warm supportive environment where all children experience a sense of belonging. Programs are available for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

School-aged children can be catered for before or after school and an after school kinder care program is also available.

Each child’s wellbeing is nurtured as they are provided with opportunities to relax and make new friends. Educators support children as they develop their emotional and social skills. The program values each child’s capacity to influence their environment and encourages their involvement in the program. Independence and self-esteem are fostered as children make decisions about the program and their environment.

• Open Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays) 7.30am-6pm
• Morning and afternoon tea provided
• Large outdoor backyard (covered and uncovered)
• Families are eligible to claim child care subsidy, if they meet the criteria set by Centrelink.
