Frenchman’s River is a 200 acre working cattle property near Cygnet in the beautiful Huon Valley. Owned by television producer & novelist Posie Graeme-Evans and designer Andrew Blaxland, together they have created an experience that will delight travellers who cherish magnificent views, bespoke luxury and complete privacy (as well as being spoiled by their hosts!)
Designed as adults- only self – catering accommodation, the HIA award-winning Writer’s House boasts Tasmanian artworks from the owner’s own collection, along with luxurious eclectic furniture, personal libraries, and cook’s kitchens. Guests are treated to local seasonal produce, artisan bread and cheeses, as well as wine from the local vineyards. And, the best thing? The house sits snug on a ridgeline with romantic views over fields that roll down to Cygnet Bay. You will have end of the road privacy, and it’s walking distance to bustling, creative Cygnet with its great coffee shops and galleries.
Beauty, luxury and serenity is our motto and that’s what we hope our guests enjoy when they stay with us at Frenchman’s River.
