Welcome to the art of Henrietta Manning. An award winning artist exhibiting since 1985 .
Work is predominately from life, with subject matter across all genres. Close up marks are painterly, but step back and all falls into place. A finalist in art prizes such as the Glover, Wynne, Alice, Waterhouse, Portia Geach, Alice Bale and Mosman in Australia, and the Summer Exhibition, England.
Recipient of an Australia Council New Work Established Grant in 2005. Residencies include two with the Hill End Residency Program, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, NSW.
The artist’s working studio is a historic apple packing shed in the beautiful setting of Waterloo in the Huon Valley. Tasmania, the ‘Apple Isle’ , was once world famous for exporting apples. Step into a piece of history. Meet the artist, view work past and current and recieve a personal insight into her art practice. Step outside to admire a view stretching down the Huon River to Sleeping Beauty and Mount Wellington.
