Highland Getaway Farm Stay is located in a peaceful country setting in the Huon Valley, in Southern Tasmania.

It’s working farm breeding the most gorgeous Highland Cattle, with some friendly alpacas and silkie chickens too. It’s a scenic 35minute drive from Hobart. Once you arrive you won’t want to leave.

Our suites are spacious, unique, and stylishly designed boutique accommodation for couples.

The two suites are self contained and located as a private wing at each end of the Homestead.

The Farm Stay House is for families or people traveling together.

Farm Tours

You’re welcome to just book a Farm Tour or if you stay it’s included.
You are welcome to book a Farm Tour as a day visit, but theses spots are limited as first priority needs to be given to guests who stay. Bookings are essential.

You’ll get up close to some gorgeous Highland Cattle and their calves and even brush them, as well as visiting some friendly alpacas. It’s a unique experience with numbers limited to 10 people as transport around the property is in a couple of 6-seater ATVs.  I’ll share with you some of my newfound knowledge on farming and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask lots of questions and take lots of photos too.
