Huon River Cruises

La Drone is a stunning 1948 built passenger ferry, made of some of the best Tasmanian boat building timbers. It has an exceptional layout and design that is absolutely perfect for cruising the scenic waterways of South Eastern Tasmania and the Huon River in comfort all year round.

Departing from a private dock at Heriots Point Vineyard you will glide up the beautiful Huon River towards the small township of Franklin exploring the history of the area as we go and enjoying a glass of local wine, cider or beer and an optional small tasting board of local Tasmanian produced cheese, salmon and tapenade along the way.

With 90 minute regular cruises departing at 1030 and 1400 you will be inspired to imagine a life on the water and get a glimpse of the rich history of the area, the people and the fantastic wooden boats that inhabit the waterways and Huon Valley.

Private charters are also available to cater for those special occasions and unique experience opportunities.

Booking are essential on our cruises as there are limited available spaces and as we are at a private dock, we don’t accept walk in passengers.
