Our Disability Supports are designed to help you live a full life and stay connected with your Huon community.
At Just Better Care Hobart, we are experienced in helping people with disability get the most out of life. Whether it’s living more independently, getting involved in sports or community activities, or simply getting to and from work, our passionate local team can offer experience and understanding. We recognise that no two people are the same, or are looking for the same services or types of assistance. It’s why we design all our disability services in close consultation with you – so we can support you in doing the things that matter most to you, or your loved one.
Our range of supports can include any of the following and much more:
Assistance for carers
Our goal is to reduce the demands of everyday life – so you can keep the relationships you have with your loved ones as you want them to be. At times when your usual carer may have other responsibilities, our experienced team can step in and provide assistance.
Getting out and about
Whether you’re looking for support in getting to and from work, assistance in attending a movie or event at our local community centre, help attending an exercise class, or regular transport to and from a volunteer commitment, we can create a plan that’s right for you.
Shopping and meal preparation
Whether you have special dietary needs, need inspiration with your meal plans, or would simply love some help with cooking the food you enjoy, we can offer the level of support and advice you would like, in the comfort of your own home.
