Sallee’s home and studio are in Southport, Southern Tasmania. This is the place where she draws her inspiration- from the quiet of the studio to the roar of a southerly storm. This environment allows Sallee to use local clays and glazing ingredients in her studio practice.
Sallee makes functional pots – pots that are useful and have simplicity in their form. She finds great pleasure in using the pottery wheel to create handmade ceramics that she then uses to serve her homegrown produce. She loves that each piece has its own unique aesthetic value and timeless quality.
